    1980's - The Nintendo Console
For Christmas, my grandparents bought my family a Nintendo. Best Christmas and grandparents ever! I still have the console to this day. It was thrown into our pool once and it still worked until 2016.

I got a digital camera for my birthday that I used extensively when I backpacked through Europe. It was great to not to have to wait to have your film developed. A few years later I upgraded to a camcorder that can also take digital stills - just in time for the birth of my kids.

    2010's - Smart Home
My husband bought me an Alexa on Black Friday and it sat it in the box for a few months before it was opened and put to use. Roaring 2020's - I got a foldable cell phone
I like to play games on my phone and my eyesight is bad, so I bought a Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold. I wasn't sold on it at first, but I like how it folds out to be the size of a small tablet. I do more work on my phone than on my laptop because of it's size, display, and convenience.
