It was supposed to be a full message reading LOGIN, but it only got the letters LO across because it crashed while sending. This was the birth of the internet.

    The very first commercial videogame was released. It was the beloved Pong by Atari. This is the game where a square bounces off a pad and onto an opponent's side, like tennis. Fascinating to see how far games have come since then.

    The very first Toshiba Floppy Disc Drive was introduced this year. This was removable magnetic storage that allowed the recording of data. It could hold 80 kilobytes and was 8 inches across.

    Steve Wozniak designed the first Apple. This was known as the Apple 1 computer. Later Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded Apple Computers on April Fool's day. This was the beginning of the journey for all Apple products today.
