    VCRs were a way for people to record things on TV, this electromechanical device records analog audio and analog video from broadcast television and can play back the recording.
  • The Magnavox Odessey

    The Magnavox Odessey
    Invented by Ralph Baer. The world’s first home video game, that came with just a cartridge and allowed for any game to be played as long as it was compatible with the console. Even though it only came in only black and white, there was color added by use of a screen overlay that attached to the screen of your television.
  • The Kenbak-1

    Invented by John Blankenbaker in the early 1970s. The Kenbak-1 was a true stored program computer that offered 256 bytes of memory along with a wide variety of operations and a speed equivalent to nearly 1MHz. The Kenbak-1 paved a way for other companies to use as a blueprint, since it was known as the first stored-program personal computer.

    Invented in Japan, looks like a box with headphones. Was known as the first portable media player that allowed for people to listen to music of their choice on the move. It has enhanced life today because the iPod classic was inspired by the Walkman looks, but added the touch feature.

    Invented by Martin Cooper. Looks like a brick, it was a cellular phone that was manufactured by Motorola Inc from 1983-1994. The DynaTAC 8000x enabled the first commercial analog cellular telephone service, it was significant because it was the first portable cell phone that could be easily carried.
