Gatsby tells Nick about his past (fake past). He tells him what college he went to and that his family died so he inherited the money. He meets Mr. Wolfsheim at this lunch who fixed the world series. Meaning Gatsby is hanging with criminals. -
Nick invites Daisy to his house
Gatsby and Daisy finally meet up after 5 years. They remember how much they loved eachother and Gatsby showed Daisy his house and clothes, showing how wealthy he is now. -
Reporter explains Gatsby's real life
Gatsby's real name is James Gatz. His parents are not dead, they are farmers. This shows how Gatsby wanted to make something of himself so he started a new life. -
Myrtles death
Daisy finds out about the truth about Gatsby and takes a final drive with him before she ends things. On the way she runs over Myrtle and Daisy lets Gatsby take the blame -
George Wilson's revenge
Wilson found out Myrtle was having an affair but didn't know who. He thought whoever ran over her was the one. Tom told him it was Gatsby's car so George killed Gatsby. -
The Funeral
Nick tries to get people to come to Gatsby's funeral but nobody shows. Daisy still never tells the truth that she really killed Myrtle. Tom says he got what he deserved. Nick refers back to the Green light and says to chase your dreams no matter what.
