My Game History Timeline

  • Spyro The Dragon

    Spyro The Dragon
Spyro The Dragon was the first game in the Spyro series by Insomniac Games, released on the Playstation in 1998. My Aunt gifted my brother and I, her Playstation 2 along with the game as well as Crash Bandicoot, and it quickly took over our days despite only being single-player. Although it is hard to recall back then, I remember being enchanted by the game, despite how frustrating some parts were. Insomniac Games 1998, Spyro The Dragon, video game, Playstation, Sony Computer Entertainment.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 was the 6th Call of Duty game and a direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Originally my dad bought the game for himself, however my brother and I convinced him to let us play as well, we would watch him complete the campaign levels and then fight it out with the bots in the multiplayer mode. It was our first time playing an FPS game and also a multiplayer with a split screen. Infinity Ward 2009, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, video game, Xbox 360, Activision.
  • Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition

    Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
Everyone I knew was talking about the game, Minecraft. I remember begging my parents to buy it for Christmas and loading the game for the first time, only to have no idea how to play. So I left it to sit on the shelf until about a month later when I picked it up again and started to figure out the game bit by bit, terrified as I waited for my first night, only to realise I was in creative mode. 4J Studios, Mojang Studios 2012, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, video game, Xbox 360, Xbox Game Studios.
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Back to FPS games, I had met my now best friend a couple months prior to playing this game for the first time, she had invited me over to work on our group assignment at her place and, well... we got distracted. Since then this game has become a part of our friendship, bringing the disc over to each others' houses and playing for hours on end, trying to get through just. One. More. Wave of zombies. Treyarch 2015, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, video game, Xbox 360, Activision.
  • Stardew Valley

    Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley was one of the first games I bought on Steam and I have since racked up hundreds of hours on the game, at first it was a funny joke between my friends and I to see who could get the most hours on the game, but it soon turned into lots of fun memories when playing together. About a week each year, we would get up at 9am, hop on call, and play until 10pm, which inadvertently fixed our sleep schedules. ConcernedApe 2016, Stardew Valley, video game, Windows.
  • Backgammon

    Backgammon
Surprisingly, it took me this long to hear about Backgammon, once again it was my best friend who introduced me to this game, this time as a learning tool, she used Backgammon and other board games to teach me Polish, her first language, during our now biannual camping trips in summer and winter. I have a vivid memory of playing this for the first time as we would come back home two days later to news of the pandemic hitting Australia. Unknown 3000BC, Backgammon, board game.
  • The Talos Principle

    The Talos Principle
I played this game for the first time in Orientation Week, I didn't get to play it much, however it has a special place among my other games as the first game that my brother bought for me using his well earned money. So far I've enjoyed taking my time with it and playing it little by little. Croteam 2014, The Talos Principle, video game, Windows, Devolver Digital.
