He is the older son of a musician named Vincenzo Galilei. -

Galileo Galilei comes to Rome to show and demonstrate his telescope to the people

Galileo wrote three letters to take part in the Heliocentric theory. The letters were read and the letters were against what Aristotelian scholars and Philosophers believed. The Church were convinced that Galileo was convicted of contradicting scriptures.
