Written by Montesquieu; "The Spirit of the Law" shows that the idea of political institutions should show the aspects of the comunity.
He explained the separation of powers and the checks and balances, we still use today. -

It was caused by the constant competitive claim of territory between both countries and the support of the native tribes. -

This historic document announced the separation of the colonies from British rule and explained the reasons for their decision. it was aproved by Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.
It had the natural rights of individuals. It symbolices the ideals of freedom and democracy. -

This ended the American Revolutionary War and recognized the United States of America as an independent nation.
It includes: the recognition of the US Independence, territorial boundaries, fishing rights and restoraton of property and prisioners. -

By declaring themselves the National Assembly, they created a more democratic system and it marked the beginning of a new political era. -

The Bastille was a prison that symbolized the tyranny of the Bourbons. Its storming marked the beginning of the revolution.
Its fall represented the people's victory over tyranny, it led to the release of prisoners and the spread of revolutionary fervor through France.
This day is celebrated annually in France as a national holiday. -
Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen
This document is a fundamental part of the French Revolution and lays out the principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity. It was influenced by Enlightenment ideas and the American Declaration of Independence.
It proclaims that men are born free and with equal rights and it focuses on the need for laws to be applied equally to all citizens -
Flight of Varennes
It refers to the attempt of scaping of King Louis XVI and his family from the revolutionary France. They tryed to reach the Netherlands. The escape was unsuccessful, and they were captured.
The royal family was recognized and detained and were escorted back to paris.The failed escape attempt fueled revolutionary fervor, leading to the eventual abolition of the monarchy.
