Việt Minh Independence Movement
Under revolutionary Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam fights back against French occupation and defeats French forces in 1954. This ends the First Indochina War, and Ho Chi Minh (a Marxist-Leninist) begins to make way for communist ideals in Vietnam. -
