In 1755 the British were defeated by Indians at Fort Duquesne. The Indians were outnumbered 2-1 but still won the battle. The British troops were led by General Braddock who was shot in the lungs during the battle. 2/3 of General Braddock's men were killed or wounded. -

In August 1757 10,000 Indian and French soldiers from Canada went south from Fort Ticonderoga. They started attacking Fort William Henry. Many misunderstandings soon led to many murders and the surrender of Fort William Henry. The French and Indians killed 185 people and took 310 British as captives. -

The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was signed in 1763 at Paris, France. By signing the Treaty of Paris the French gave up all the land they had in North America. All of the land west of New Orleans and the Mississippi River went to Spain and all the land east of Canada and the Mississippi River goes to England.
