1. The tax went from more money to less money and smuggling was trying to be stopped.
2. The people were not happy about it.

Stamp Act

1. Stamps must be used on all printed items and stamps costed money.
2. People started a boycott.

Declaratory

Mar 18, 1766

1. This act was some people could tax other people but they didn't want to so they were not taxed.
2. Everybody wanted in and most likely did not want to be taxed.

Townshend Act

1767

1. This was created to stop smuggling.
2. A boycott was started for this.

Tea Act

1773

1. Tax exemptions and re baits were offered during this act.
2. Colonist's were angry because of the principle of it.
