Albany Plan
This plan was to unify or unite the 13 colonies of the United States. This was a plan set by Benjamin Franklin. The main purpose of this plan was for war reasons and the problems of colonial trade. -
The Stamp Act
Was a harsh tax system that made the colonist pay a tax on documents, newspapers and buisness agreements, this was considered harsh. So a protest happend, and change was found after a an event of the Boston tea party happend. -
American Revolution
This a period of time in which the thirteen colonies went to war against Great Britain. In this war many events, and things were signed, making the country of the United States more closer as a country. In the end the americans won against the british and won there independence, while becoming a full on country with there own rights. We can also thank France for helping us against britain. -
Boston Massacre
This was an event in which British soldiers in boston shot and killed people in the streets for harassment towards them. The people that were killed in the mob were not specific, so they just shot in the crowd killing random civilians. This was a heavily publicized as an unfair treatment towards the people. -
Boston tea party
The boston tea party was a protest against british tax laws that violated citizens freedom, so the protest took place on british ships. A group of protesters disguised as Native Americans, boarded onto british tea ships and dumped them all out, to protest against the laws, by wasting british money. -
Intolerable Acts
The intolerable acts were the outbreak of the American Revolutionary war with Great Britan. After the boston tea party, Britan sent out a new harsh law that punished all for the resistance against the tea party. This caused outraged and sparked the American Revolutionary war -
First Continental Congress
A meeting from 12/13 of the British colonies that soon became the states and citizens of the United States. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
Was the first military engagement, or war in the American Revolutionary war. This was a war in lexington against the thirteen colonies vs, Great Britan. -
Second Continental Congress
Was a meeting of the 13 delegates to resolve issues with freedom, and civilian rights, this meeting was a hope to fix there current situation, and so they wrote a letter to the King. -
The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was a document, signed by the thirteen states, that was basically a showing that, they are no longer under British rule, and they are there own independent nations.
