    Fort Necessity
    George Washington built a fort called Fort Necessity on low ground. It rained and his fort got flooded, making his ammunition, gun powder and most other forms of deffense unusable. Thus, when the French attacked, it was not hard for them to to overwhelm the fort. George Washington was sent away and was not allowed to build a fort in the Appalation mountains.

    Ben Franklin had an idea that colonies should come togetherand have a governor appointed by the king. He said that each colony would have 2-7 representatives, but still his idea was turned down.

    William Johnson, Hendricks and the rest of the English were winners on the day of the Battle at Lake George. The reason the battle was fougt there was because as thr troops tried to advance, they were shot at by a war party. Hendricks was killed, and Johnso was shot in the back. He needed a fort, so he got to the farthest and best place he could with the energ he had left and built a fort.

    General Edward Braddock led a battle at the French fort, Fort Duquesne. Braddocks way of fighting, ( European style) caused his defeat because the French and the Native Americans would not fight that way. Instead, they hid and fought in the woods, wearing skins to camoflage themselves.Braddock was killed in this battle. George Washington escaped, and learned from Braddock's mistakes.

    Before this, there had been only battles, not an actual war. Then is was decared on this day. The war is finally official.

    Led by Marquis de Montcalm, this battle was a French victory. The reason this victory was important was because the fort was built near a river. Whichever side controlls the fort, also controlls the river. They can let anyone who they want thorough, and anyone they don't want, they shoot at.

    When William Pitt became foreign minister, the morale of colonists greatly increased. This is because William changed the way they fought so that it fight the land they were fighting in so they could win a battle. Also, William understood them and really tried to help when he could.

    In this battle, General Wolfe led the English troops to victory. This win was important because it gave the English control over the mouth of the Saint Lawrence River. Whoever controlls the river, controlls the trafic that flows through it.

    The English, led by General Wolfe, were victrorious at this battle. They were able to do this because the Iroquois teamed up with them to help.

    The battle of Quebec was a English victory over the French. It is important because whoever owned Quebec, controlled the supplies going in and out of New France. General Wolf was mortally wounded in this battle.

    The Treaty of Paris was the unofficial end of the war. It determined who got what land. France ended up loosing land in Canada, most of their empire in India, and claims to the east of the Mississippi River. Spain gained all French lands to the West of the Mississippi River and New Orleans. They lost Florida to England. England gained all French land in Canada, exclusive rights to Caribbean slave trade and commercial dominace in India.

    Pontiac's Rebellion
    Pontiac organited a rebellion of Native Americans against the English. In the end, the English realized that protecting and supporting the colonists to fight back was hard and expensive, so King George III issued the Proclamation of 1763, forbiding colonists from settling west of the Appalacian Mountains.
