    Due to the constant rain and the fact that Fort Necessity was built in a small valley, the fort was flooded. This ruined the guns and gunpowder causing George Washington and his men to surrender the fort.

    The Spanish, French and British sign a peace treaty, the Treaty of Paris. This ends the French and Indian War.
