The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution officially abolished, and continues to prohibit, slavery, and, with limited exceptions, prohibits involuntary servitude. -

The original reason of the KKK was to stop blakc people from voting. -
14th amendment
The amendment was passed and gave blacks the right of citizenship in America. -
15th Amendment
The amendment prohibits states from denying the right to vote on grounds of race or color. -
The election of 1876
The Rebuplicans accused the Democrats of discouraging and bribing the African Americans from voting in the south. -
Civil Rights cases of 1883
African-American citizens protested their exclusion from a hotel dining room in Topeka, Kansas; from the opera in New York City; from the better seats of a San Francisco theater; and from a car set aside for ladies on a train. -
Jim Crow Laws
The Jim Crow laws segrigated the blacks and whites. There were different restrooms, stores, theaters, hotels, cinemas, etc. for the blacks.
