At the beginning of the story Victor is very innocent yet curious and when he grows a strong interest in science, he changes drastically. He quickly becomes obsessed with science and his experiment and in the end left him frightened and shocked.

Victor reads Elizabeth's letter and it speaks of his home and he is delighted and he is no longer sick.

The families story is told and their life wasn't at all perfect.

The monster wants to be seen by the family but is scared they will fear him because of his outer appearance.

The monster starts to realize why people are so fearful of him and he thinks it's unfair why other people aren't feared upon like he is. (pg. 128)

The monster travels to Geneva where he meets William and kills him because he knows he is related to Victor. (pg. 136)

The monster takes his anger out on anyone he can find that associates with Victor.

The monster asks Victor to make him a companion or he will destroy everyone Victor loves. (pg. 140)

Victor leaves on his honeymoon with Elizabeth hoping that the creature won't carry out his evil plan to kill everyone he loves.

The monster tells Victor to prepare himself because he is going to kill Elizabeth. Victor knows the monster will come so he stays outside hoping to intercept the monster before he gets to Elizabeth, but in doing so he gives the monster an easy way to get in through the window during Victors absence.

The knowledge of the Monster’s existence drove Walton to continue his search for it further north into the arctic, endangering the lives of many of the crew on board.
