n 1519 AD Francisco Pizarro arrested Balboa and a few others. He was handed over to a man named Pedro Arias de `Avila, who was Balboa's rival. Balboa was beheaded. Pizarro was awarded a small fortune, an estate, and was made mayor of Panama city -

In 1524 AD Fransico Pizarro made a voyage to a land in South America. The journey was a failure. Many people died and the people on the journey had to turn back before they found anything. -

In 1526 AD Pizarro made a second journey to South America. This went better for him than the last one. Pizarro reached Tumbes and learned the tales of gold were real. Pizarro did not reach the Incas. -

Return to Spain
In 1528 AD Pizarro sailed back to Spain. Their he got the emperor of Spain to create a commission. It’s purpose was to conquer Southern territory. -

In 1532 AD Pizarro came to the coast of South America. Their he Established the first settlement that was Spanish. It was called San Miguel de Piura. -

Leader of the Incas gets Killed
In 1533 AD Pizarro accompanied with less than 200 men went to meet the Incan emperor, Atahualpa. Pizarro and his men then abducted Atahualpa. The Inca sent Pizarro and his men a room full of silver and gold for Atahualpa’s ransom, but he was still killed. -

The Fall of Inca
Pizarro and his men attacked Cuzco 1533 AD. With the advantage of guns and cannons over 2,000 Inca were killed and 5,000 were taken prisoner. The city was looted. -

Creation of Lima
In 1535 AD Pizarro created Lima. It would be the new capital of Peru. Pizarro was its mayor for 10 years. -
Jun 26, 1541
Death
A dispute broke out between Diego Almagro and Pizarro. This caused Pizarro to have him murdered. On June 26 1541 AD People supporting Almagro killed Pizarro.
