George Washington
Governer Robert Dinwiddie of Virginia sent a surveyor named George Washington into Ohio country. Washington was 21 years old.His mission was to teel the French that they were tresspassing on land that Great Britain claimed. He was to demand that they leave. -
Washington's First Command
Dinwiddie made Washington a lietenant colnel. He then sent Washington back to Ohio country with a militia. -
The Albany Plan of Union
They wanted to find a way to defend themselves against the French. They also hoped to persuade the Iroquois to support the british.
