Founding of Jamestown
The First permanent settlement in the New World, was Jamestown, Virginia. It was very sucessful at first, until it soon became abandoned. This is important to me as an american because it is good, to know about our history and how i came to be. -
Plymouth Colony
America's first puritan settlement. The pilgrims, left England to seek religious freedom. They showed us that we can be free, we have a choice! -
French And Indian War
The French and Indian War, lasted 7 years. Britain gained alot of territory from it, and now instead of seperate colonies, we are now united. -

The boston Massacre was the killing of 5 colonists. -
Boston Tea Party
The boston tea party act was a protest. -
First Continental Congress
The West Indies were threatened with a boycott unless the islands agreed to nonimportation of British goods. Imports from Britain dropped by 97 percent in 1775, Committees of observation and inspection were to be formed in each colony for enforcement of the Association. -

The continental congress met and met to arrange. -
American Revoution
The war of independence waged by the American colonies against Britain influenced political ideas and revolutions around the globe, as a fledgling, largely disconnected nation won its freedom from the greatest military force of its time. -
Declaration of independence
The Declaration of Independence, stated that they (the british) were not a part of the british empire. It affects us today by not making us a part of the british empire. -
Articles Of Confederation
The Articles of confederation,was a succesful rebellion. It affects us today, now we dont have to pay our taxes to one goup. -
Treaty of paris
The treaty of paris was a treaty of peace to unite france, spain, etc... -
Shay's Rebellion
This was to gain freedom and overthrow the government. It caused many deaths. -
Constitutional Convention
The Constitutional Convention, was a gathering in order to discuss problems. I think that the founding fathers did a great job discussing. -
U.S constitution
The U.S constitution is like the bill of rights, because again it gives us freedom. -
George Wshington
George Washington was the first president. He started the Revolutionary War.And was the highest rank in the military. -
Bill of Rights
The bill of rights gave us the rights to, have freedom off speech and so forth. I think without it we will all be in slavery -
Invention of Cotton Gin
In 1794 a man eli whitney, invented a machine that helped make cotton, an thats good because now we have clothes. -
John Adams
In early march, John Adams went against slavery and was involved in the boston massacre -
Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson declared the barbary war. -

Lewis and Clark set the first exploration.Without exploration i dont think i any of us would be here in America -
Louisiana Purchase
The louisiana Purchase protected the U.S trade from going in other areas. -

James madison made the laws and drafted the first four amendments and worked with George Washington -

James Monroe fought in the revolutionary war. -

The missouri Comromise, was for pro and anti- slavery. But mostly to help prevent slavery. I think its good now that we are all free! -

The monroe doctrine stated that Americans cannot colonize, and trying to colonize is an act of aggression -

John quincy adams, was a great diplomat and secretary. His great mind did alot of contributions to us -
Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson was a politition and general who defeated creek indians and was involved in the trail of tears, he also supported slavery. I think if didnt exist, slavery wouldnt have been so bad. -
Trail of tears
Many Native Americans suffered from exposure, disease and starvation on the route to their destinations. Many died, including 2,000-6,000 of 16,542 relocated Cherokee. -

The indian removal act was caused because of territoy. And now it i everyones territory. -

William Henry Harrison and John Tyler
Willaim gained fame for leading U.S forces against american indians.This act gained more territory for the americans. -
Manifest Dynasty
John O'lulliver in 1845 said "manifest dynasty" to represent a set of ideas to represent the united states. This helped make a better colony. -
Mexican War
The mexican war was a despute, whether texas ended at a river. Americans took the territory and had no sense of what the immigrants felt. -

It started to take care of values,and now i think it was a great idea!
