    This battle was the Redcoats against the Massachusetts colonist. The redcoats were the British and the Massachusetts outnumbered them by a lot and they fought harder and ended up losing. This is another way they got independence from British.

    The Declaration of Independence was signed on August 2nd, 1776. During this time there were only 13 American colonies. It was a vote on declaring independence from the British. In the declaration, it says the right to revolution which means right to the separation.
