In Hardford, Connecticut Daimler Motor Company was manufacturing petrol engines. These petrol engines for boats, carriages, tram cars, and fire engines. -
Gasoline Powered Car
Charles and Frank Duryea built the first gas powered car. They drove it in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 21st. -
Henry Ford's first Car
Henry Ford built his first car, Quadracycle, in 1896. In 1899, the Detroit Automotive Company went out of business. -
