Emmett Till was an African American teenager that was lynched after flirting with a white women. He was only 14 in Mississippi and this showed how African Americans were still not treated equal. The Vietnam War was a long war that took place in North Vietnam. More than 3 million people including 58,000 Americans were killed in the Vietnam War. Many of the troops send were very young. Those who survived from the war suffered from PTSD after serving their country since the war was a very terrifying event. -

A group of nine African American students that attended Little Rock Central High school. They dealt with racism and discrimination while being enrolled there. They each had their own National Guard walk them to class to protect them from others.

John F. Kennedy's Assassination
John f. Kennedy was the 35th president who was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. JFK did many things for the United States such as increasing the minimum wage, extending social security benefits, and improving the warfare system.
