    Emmett Till was an African American teenager that was lynched after flirting with a white women. He was only 14 in Mississippi and this showed how African Americans were still not treated equal. Segregation was still a huge issue and this event made African Americans all over the world fight for their rights. This was a boost for the Civil Rights Movement.

    The Vietnam War was a long war that took place in North Vietnam. More than 3 million people including 58,000 Americans were killed in the Vietnam War. Many of the troops send were very young. Those who survived from the war suffered from PTSD after serving their country since the war was a very terrifying event.

    A group of nine African American students that attended Little Rock Central High school. They dealt with racism and discrimination while being enrolled there. They each had their own National Guard walk them to class to protect them from others.

JFK did many things for the United States such as increasing the minimum wage, extending social security benefits, and improving the warfare system.     The Black Panther Party was African American men that fought for rights and self defense. It was first created by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. The Panters practiced self-defense of minority communities against the U.S government.
