Forrest graduated from Evans High School in Evans, Georgia. He got into football after getting picked up and bullied all his life. -
Begins Serving in Law Enforcement
Forrest Geriffin was shortly a police officer. He served at Richmond County Sheriff's Office in Augusta, Georgia. He served for just two years. -
Introduced to MMA
He trained ata local club before leaving. He later joined The HardCore Gym in Athens for five years under Adam and Rory Singer. He later left law enforcement to pursue a career in professional mixed martial arts. -
First Organized Fight
Forrest first organized fight was against Dan Severn. In Augusta, Georgia. He lost this fight by decision. -
WEFC 1
This was Forrest's first fight against some who was reconized in the MMA world. He fought Jeff Monson, who has 53 professinal fights to date. Forrest won by judges decision. This would be the fight that got him reconized, and lead to many other big fights. -
Begins to train under Adam and Rory Singer
This is important in Forrest`s life because it was the first trainers had that actually could take his name somewhere. Adam and Rory also were able to take Forrest`s reckless attitude and put it into perspective for him. The Hardcore gym would be the start of something great for Forrest in his rise to the top. -
TUF1 Finale
TUF stands forThe Ultimate Fighter. This is a tournament used to find top prospects for the UFC. In the first season Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar made it to the finale which get air on live television. When they were done the fight was considered an instant classic by all UFC fans, many consider it the best fight ever. This made the TUF very popular. -
UFC 59
Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffins 3 fight fued is one of the things most fans will remeber while reflecting back on Forrest's career. On April 15, 2006 they had their first match in which the higfhly regarded Ortiz won but unanimous decsion. However the showing by Griffin was to good to say he was a loser. -
UFC 66
Many people looked past Keith Jardine for Forrest Griffin. However when Jardine won by TKO 4:41 in the first round many people were shocked including Forrest griffin. He sat in his corner afterthe fight clearly upset. Forrest learned his lesson though and came back in his next fight prepared and came out with a win. -
UFC 76
Maricuo Rua was considered the best light heavywieght at the time of this fight. He had expert submissions and Incredible muay thai. So when Forrest beat him by rear naked choke in round three, it immeadiatly made forrest the top contender for the light heavy wieght champion. -
TUF 7 as a Coach
After winnig TUF 1 forrest got the chance to return tthe fovour and train 16 prospects. He and his team made clean sweep of Rampage Jackson's team, and winning all the fights. Forrest then had to fight rampage for the title. -

As in many of his previous fight Forrest was considered the heavy underdog. Which seems to have and reverse affect on forrest and actually helps him fight better. -

After Mark Coleman got injured and pulled out of the fight from Ortiz, Griffin accepted the rematch and took it in good fashion by split desicion. -
