Somalia Mission
The US sent in troops to Somalia to give out food and supplies to countries because it was in war. The troops were later pulled out because some soldiers were getting killed. -
NAFTA
The United States made an agreement with Canada and Mexico which opened more oppertunites for trade between the countires. It ended tariffs, created more exports, and it created trade balance. -
Vietnam-Clinton
President Bill Clinton removed the trade embargo with Vietnam that had been in place since 1975. The embargo was put into place because of the war. He hoped by removing the embargo, they return our POW's. -

NATO gets involved in 1995 in the Operation Deliberate Force. It was key battle that ended the war. We got involved to save their peole because they were killing their own people for no reason. -

Al-Queda terrorists attack the United States on 9-11. The United States with support of congress and NATO declare war on Terrorism. -
Invade Afgahnistan
The US and NATO forces invade Afgahnistan to overthrow the Taliban. The purpose of the mission was to end the Al-Queda terrorist group because of what they need to us on 9-11 -
United States-India Peaceful Atomic Energy Cooperation Act
Bush signs this act in hope that it will create a stronger bond between the worlds two largest democracies, United States and India. It was also created to help both countries meet the need for energy in the 21st century. -
Raid on Bin Laden
The United States leads a mission to kill Bin Laden. We wanted him gone because he was the main leader behind 9-11. We thought with him gone, the terrorist group would die out. -
Russia and New START treaties
The United States passed for Us and Russia to both lower their nuclear weapons. This will help keep American protected and reduce chances of another world war.
