The blender was the first motor-driven kitchen appliance.Rufus M. Eastman was the first to patient a blender of any sort -
Blender of 1910
In 1910 Fred Osius, L.H. Hamilton and Chester Beach started the Hamilton Beach Manufacturing Co.
Many blenders into the 1920's looked very similar.
The motor stood on a separate iron stand and was usually adjustable. -
The milshake
One of the first milkshake blenders, made by Gilbert.From 1920’s – 1930’s a lot of the mixers were made by the AC Gilbert Co. Many of these mixers looked very industrial and the motor stood on a separate iron stand, which was usually adjustable. -
The blender of 1935
In 1935 Fred Waring joined up with Frederick Osius and marketed the Waring Blendor.Waring's 50th Anniversary Blender. -

Among popular mixer companies were: Vidrio Products, Chicago Electric and Knapp Monarch.
In 1954 the millionth Waring Blendor was sold and they are still popular today.
