The story of Fish
This is how long Fish had stayed on the Scurvy Mistress finding more gold and treasures and to have great adventures with his friends, Nora, Daniel, and Nate. -
Exposition 1
Characters-
Fish- Small, skinny boy that is about 13 or 14 who learns how to swim. He is the only person in the book who knows how to swim
Uncle Gerry-Fish's uncle who has a pirating buisness
Nate-Pirate who robs Fish in the first place and turns out to be Fish's Friend
Daniel-Another pirate fellow who turns out to be Fish;s friend and help Fish survive the 3 years on the Scurvy Mistress
Nora-Cook for the Scurvy Mistress and is Fish's friend. Although she is a lady, she is still a pirate -
Exposition 2
The setting is all around the world and in Ireland. The main setting is out on the ocean and on the deck of the Scurvy Mistress but there are also the settings of Turtle Island and the Port in Ireland -
Rising Action 1 Conflict
The Family horse ,Shamrock, dies and they need to buy a new horse in order to till the farmland and to carry heavy loads of crops. As a result, Fish is sent into town with his uncle, Gerry, to earn money for his parents to buy a new house. -
Rising Action 2
Fish was sent on a special duty to deliver a leather purse to an unusually small man with unusually large glasses named Reginald Swift. Once fish got on the Mary, he was robbed by a pirate. -
Rising Action 3
Once Fish Found the Scury Mistress, he sought to join them to get his delivery back. Captain Cobb Decided to raid the Mary to satisfy the pirates hunger for fighting and gold. Fish realized that the Mary was the ship that Reginald Swift was on! He tried to recover the purse and gold coins but ould only get the coins. So he brought them to Reginald and Regianlad refused the gold, He wanted that purse. -
Rising Action 4
Once Reginald refused to take the coins without the purse Fish is caught! Captain Cobb himself takes the gold coins back from Fish. Fish is then brought back onboard the Scurvy Mistress and taken to the Captain's Quarters. Cobb cannot trust Fish and would get rid of him but Fish gives his last memory of home, the carved, wooden fish is little sister had made for him. He was now trusted by th crew of the Scurvy Mistress. -
Climax
Captain Cobb, Melinda (Cobb's Wife), Fish, and Moravius( Cobb's trusted "guard") find out the clue to where the Chain of Chaucer is located. -
Falling Action 1
Nate and Fish have to fight so Nate has to go along with Scab because he wants to be a boarder so he needs to be tough. Fish ends up getting knocked out by Nate and losing the "fight". -
Falling Action 2
Fish learns to dodge and block fists and cutlasses by a "not-fighting" technique from Daneil. He learns how to disarm them and take their culass and throw it to the ground instead of them having it in their hand. -
Falling Action 4
Fish is a lot more respec ted than he used to be. He is also praised by some of his fellow crew members for such cleaning skills and sometimes ask him to clean especially good under their hammock or something like that. -
Falling Action 5
Fish finally gets used to the taste of Gruel and hardtack after spending more than a year on the Scurvy Mistress with all of those filthy, disgusting pirates. -
Falling Action 6
Scab and a few of his other raid-craving pirates try to mutiny against Cobb and him trying to go on a quest. Scab traps Cobb and the rest of his crew on an island but then his plans fail when the Scurvy Mistress sinks the Mildred -
Resolution 1
Scab tries to over take the Scurvy Mistress by killing Daniel, Nate, Fish, and Nora but fails as well. Fish uses his non-fighting tachnique to tire out Scab and to flip him over in a launch boat, sending him to drift along without any paddles to row with. -
Resolution 2
Fish wins and takes the Scurvy Mistress back over. Then when he finally returns back to port in Ireland, he gives his parents a dozen horses, some mules, and a leather bag filled with jewels and gold that Fish got from the Chain of Chaucer.
