Kinetoscope
In 1891, Thomas Edison introduces the kinetoscope. This device allows viewers to look inside of a peephole in order to see the typical 10-second motion picture. It can only be seen by one individual at a time. -
Sound in Film
Sound first started to appear in motion pictures around the year 1927. The earlier movies that had sound were called "talkies". The Jazz Singer is the first motion picture that included sound.
