Horace and Daeida Wilcox founded Hollywood in 1887. At first, they hoped it would become a religous community. Later on that idea faded away and became what it is today. -

In 1944, Walt Disney and King Vidor helped found the Motion Picutres Aliance. There were many active supporters. These supporters included Ward Bond, Gary Cooper, and Robert Taylor. -
Warners Bros.
In 1949, the Warners Bros. license there cartoons to childrens clothing companies. This is when their characters atarted appearing on childrens tops,hats,etc. -
Hollywood Ten
In 1950, two of the Hollywood ten, John and Dolton, and imprisoned. The other eight are convicted of contempt of congress. -
Supreme Court and House Committee
In 1951, the supreme court would not review a lower court decision. This brought up the firing of the Hollywood Ten. -- also the house committee opens a second round of hearing in hollywood -
