The Beginning
Fidel Castro was born in August 13, 1926. He had two older siblings named "Raul" and "Ramon". He attended El colegio de Beleh and got picked for the school's baseball team. After his Graduation in the late 1940's, Castro entered a law school school at the University of Havana. -
Lose of control
With U.S. encouragement, Cuba loses its chance in the Organization of American States. Also Castro calls for all Latin American people to rise up against imperialists in his Second Declaration of Havana. -
Guerilla
The Guerilla Warfare is the form of off topic warfare in which small groups of combatants, to dominate a larger army, and take away immediatly. In 1959, Castro used guerlla warfare to sussefully overthrow Cuban leader "Fulgencio Batista" and sworn in as Prime Minister of Cuba. -
Ending with Cuba
The United States ends its relationship with Cuba.The stretch of Cubans to the United States becomes limited. Over the next two decades more than one million Cubans will leave. 40% are businessmen and professionals, 50 % are Cuba's doctors and teachers that leave in the first two years of the revolution. -
Bay of Pigs
President Kennedy launches the Bay of Pigs plan. Eight B-26 bomber planes attack airfields at Ciudad Libertad in Havana, San Antonio de los Banos in Pinar del Rio and Santiago de Cuba in an attempt to destroy Cuba's air force. A second wave, designed to wipe out any surviving aircraft, is usually cancelled. -
Soviet Construction
After two weeks of being blocked by clouds, a U.S. U-2 investigation flight over Cuba, photographs the Soviet construction of medium-range missile sites. The next day, analysis of the photographs will bring about the Cuban Missile Crisis. -
Embargo Drop
President Kennedy sends a message to Castro that he is now ready to talk about normal relations and drop the embargo. According to former Press Secretary "Pierre Salinger", Kennedy would have talked about the agreement if he had lived. -
A Letter from Guevara
Cuba commence a new Communist Party and Central Committee. That same day, Fidel Castro reads a letter Guevara had written him the previous May. In it Guevara resigned all his posts and his Cuban citizenship before leaving to fight in other lands. Months later, defeated and humiliated, Ché Guevara will return secretly to Cuba. -
Angola
Castro sends about 18,000 soldiers to Angola. Washington suspends the talks. Also in Angola in November 1975, on the eve of Angola's independence, Cuba launched a large-scale military interuption in support of the leftist liberation movement against the United States. -
Peruvian Embassy
More than 10,00 Cubans crowd into the Peruvian Embassy in Havana. Castro says anyone can leave the port of Mariel. About 125,000 Cubans reach Florida by late September. -
Suspended Payments
Cuba suspends payments on its $3.5 billion outside dept. Also in July 28, 1985, in the hands of reforms by Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev, Castro calls for conservation of the mental cleanliness of the revolution within Marxist-Leninist Doctrine. -
Castro ends U.S. dollar bans
Fidel Castro's government ends ban on use of U.S. dollar bills. One of the series of limited economic openings that government says are aimed at saving revolution.
