    Fidel Castro was born on August 13th 1926 in Biran, Cuba. Lina Ruz Gonzalez and Angel Castro y Argiz are the mother and father of Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz. Castro's father was a wealthy farmer. Castro was one out of 7 children that were born, Castro would end up going to catholic schools and and would go to high school Belen Havana.     In 1945 Castro enters Havana college and studied law. Castro during his college years focused mainly on politics and not the gang violence or romance. While in college in 1947 Castro joined a group of Dominican exiles in a overthrow of a dictator named Rafael Trujillo. Castro also took place in some more outbreaks in 1948.     In 1952 Castro entered the group a peoples political group for Cuba called the Ortodoxos. He ran for a seat of the house of representatives in a district of Havana. Elections would take place in June 1952. The election was disrupted due to the former president Fulgencio Batista, who overthrew the government ended the election for Castro.This was important because This would make Castro angry and he will went to rebel against the Cuban government and start a movement.     July 26th 1953 Castro leads an attack on the Moncada military barracks in Santiago de Cuba. Castro would take 160 men in battle where most of them were killed. Hoping to start a movement Castro was arrested and was sent to prison. He underwent trial and was sentenced 15 years in prison. Castro and his brother would be released in 1955 where they would go to Mexico and resume their campaign against the Batista regime.(Fidel Castro)

    Fidel Castro wanted to keep his rebel going and recruited 81 men to keep his fight going. He landed on the eastern coast of Cuba where most of Castro's men were either killed or captured. Castro and his brother managed to escape with nine other men. Castro was willing to stay and fight a 30,000 professional army with only nine of his men using guerrilla warfare.     Fidel Castro would continue his work in guerrilla warfare and would end up overthrowing the corrupt president of Cuba General Fulgencio Batista. Castro had a lot of power at this point and a lot of people would join his side. For the next two years the CIA would try to push Castro out of power. In 1961 the U.S would launch an attack on Castro with 1,400 trained american Cubans. This attack would not help at all because the Cubans would be outnumbered by Castro's men. ( Bay of Pigs invasion)

    During the cold war tensions were high and lots of Germans were fleeing from eastern Berlin to western Berlin. more than 2,000 Germans were crossing everyday. Many of the refugees were skilled laborers, professionals and this would be devastating to eastern Germany. One night the eastern Germany wanted this exodus to end so they laid down thirty miles of barbed wire so the eastern Germans couldn't escape.     The soviet union which soon became the country's chief supporter
    would secretly placed ballistic missiles in Cuba. The missiles could Hit U.S. shores that were only 90 miles away. During this time nuclear war was close to happening but the united states would surround Cuba with its navy ready to fight if the country were to ever launch those missiles.     on july 16th 1969 apollo 11 is ready to take flight to land on the ball of rock that orbits Earth, the moon. That morning at 9:32 am the apollo would take off in 12 minutes it would be in Earths orbit. after being in space for about three days it is time that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin load up inside the Eagle, a Tiny capsule that will take them to the moon safely. at 4:18 pm the Eagle will land on the moon and the U.S. will have created history.     Apple was just a small idea that started with three people in a garage. the first apple computer was made on April 11th 1976. This computer would start the biggest spark by that company. Everyone loved the apple computers and people wanted more from Mr. Jobs. So About 25 years later Steve Jobs had made something incredible and that was the Ipod.     in 1993 Fidel Castro daughter went to an asylum in the U.S. and was criticizing on How her father was ruling Cuba. This would bring much hate on Castro and before he new anti-government groups would increase with members because of the economic and social downfall.     on September 11th 2001 one of the most devastating terrorist attacks occurred. 19 Extremist that were part of an Extremist group called al-Qaeda had hijacked four planes. Two of the planes that were hijacked hit the two tallest building Known as the twin towers. The third plane was crashed into the pentagon. The last plane was intended for the white house but taken back by the passengers and they were able to get it out of Washington D.C. and crash it in Pennsylvania (9/11 Attacks)

    Fidel Castro in 2008 would officially step down from presidency of Cuba. His announcement would be written in a letter and also it would be put on the communist official website gamma for all people to see. Castro released his announcement days before the national assembly would pick its new leader. The message he wrote read “I do not bid you farewell. Castro was the one who started the revolution of Cuba and overthrew the cruel government of Cuba. Castro defended his country with the people that were willing to rebel by his side.
