    The Smith Hughes Act is named after a senator from Georgia. It provided federal funding for Vocational Agriculture in Public highschools.

    The first convention was held in the Hotel Baltimore in Kansas City, Missouri. The first dues were ten cents.

    The creed was written by E.M Tiffany. It was adopted at the third national convention of the FFA.

    The corduroy is an article of faith, honor, and pride. After the jacket was adopted, FFA licensed the rights to sell them to Universal Uniform Company.

    NFA was mostly found in southern states. The colors were black and gold.

    Formed to use funds to support FFA. 138,548 members were serving in the armed services in WW2.
  • Public Law 740

    Public Law 740
    Gave the FFA a federal charter. Said that each school teaching agriculture must have an FFA program.

    The merge increased membership by over 50,000. This also increased dues from 10 cents to 50 cents.
