1965 The new farmers of America (NFA) and FFA Merged
The new Farmers of America merged with the Future Farmers of America on 1965. The First FFA national agricultural career show was put on a national FFA convention for educational and career opportunities in agriculture for many teens. -
1969 Girls were admited to the FFA

1971 national FFA Alumni Founded support agricultural education
There was a seat for an alumni representative from each state the Alumni Council had strengthened the voices of universities state-wide. The Council served as a catalyst and gave us a voice in the university system which had united the alumni associations of all schools. -
1988 The name was changed from the future farmers magazine to the national FFA organization
The Future Farmers of America changesd the name to National FFA Organization to make it better reflected and expanded.The FFA opens membership to seventh- and eighth-grade students.Agriscience Student Recognition Program was also introduced in 1988. -
1989 The national future farmer magazine name was changed to FFA New Horizons
The delegates voted to change the official name from the Future Farmers of America to the National FFA Organization then another name change occurred in 1989, that of the magazine to which is now called FFA New Horizons. -

Smiths Hughes act had made it to be known as the vocational act in 1917. This act made the first approval to vocational education to many public schools. -

The Future Farmers of America brought students, teachers and agribusiness to support the agricultural education. They could not see how the FFA program would grow when young teens around the world through out millions they worn jackets of the organization. -
1929 official FFA Colors Adopted
The year 1929 was when the FFA official colors where adopted. The colors at that time was blue and gold their jackets had to be blue but the emblem and letters where gold and blue to represent the FFA organization. -
1929 Alabama FFA Founded 36th St.Chartered
THe original charter was signed by Henry Groseclose and written by hand. It was to be remembered so it is now hanged up in the office career technical education at Auburn.
