DVD Introduction in USA
Sony, Toshiba & Panasonic Corporation teamed up for development and released in USA in 1997.Originally, DVD stood for “Digital Video Disc.” It was later suggested that the acronym stands for “Digital Versatile Disc.” In large part because DVDs can be used for much more than storing video content. DVD replaced VHS with better video quality and faster play.
