Fashion in the 1600 was all about extra padding, yellow tights (for men) long wavy impressive dresses for the woman and jellery to make them look impressive. -

Fashion in the 1700 was all about making your hips look bigger and bolder, and long bright dresses, and for the men it was about waist coats and button jackets with 3quater lenghth tousers. -

The fashion in the 20's
A corset was worn in the 1920's, when women dared to be different by cutting their hair and wearing skirts that fell to the knees. A boyish, waif-like figure was 'all the rage' in the 20's. To achieve this flat look, women wore corsets like these that hooked onto the garter belt, there by binding the breasts down against the rib cage. -

When the 30's arrived, women's hair grew a little longer but still had the same carefree style. Curls, especially those around the face and on the forehead, were very popular back then.. -

The hat was very fashionable in the 40's. Feathers and veils were very popular. A dress was a summer evening dress. Chiffon was a popular fabric, used for making delicate folds to drape vertically in the fashionable way of the 40's. Notice the deep V of the back line and the absence of the cinched waist. -

They didnt really have fashion in the war, it was about trying to save your country. Although idf you werent fighting in the waar the men would wear, suirts with a nice waiste coat, and the women would wear long skirts and hats with a jacket or coat. -

A red dress is made of chiffon, which gives it a floating look.A yellow dress, probably made of taffeta, was worn with a crinoline skirt beneath it to make it fluff out. The men would always look serfistaccated. -

Fashiojn in the 80's was all about experimenting. The bright colours, leg warmers, tights, and high heels, but for the men it was a plane jacket with jeans and funcky shoes. Where as the hair was rock chick look. They also wore vibrant colours. -
