While walking home with Montag, Clarisse asks Montag if he is happy. This upsets Montag and is the beginning of making him question things. -
Montag finds his wife overdosed on sleeping pills.
Montag returns home after work and finds his wife, Mildred, passed out after overdosing on sleeping pills. -
Montag calls the men with the "snakes".
After finding Mildred overdosed on sleeping pills, Montag calls the emergency hospital. Two men with "snake" machines show up to take care of the situation. -
Mildred asks Montag if they can buy a TV-Wall
Mildred asks Montag if they can purchase the fourth TV-wall, becuase it is ONLY $2,000. -
Clarisse tells Montag about the dandelion.
Clarisse tells Montag that if you are in love the yellow of the dandelion will rub off on your chin, however, it does not rub off on Montag highly upsetting him. -
Montag tastes the rain.
After walking with Clarisse and talking about rain, Montag spends just a moment tasting the rain showing that he thinks about the things Clarisse tells him. -
Clarisse says she's afraid of children her own age.
Clarisse discusses with Montag that she is afraid of children her own age for reaasons such as they kill each other. -
Montag watches the woman burn.
After reporting to a call, Montag tries to help convience the woman to leave the books and let her house burn. The woman will not leave though, and Montag watches her burn along with her house. -
Montag learns that Clarisse was hit by a car.
Mildred informs Montag that she thinks there had been a report of Clarisse being hit by a car. -
Montag reveals the books to Mildred.
Montag confesses to his wife that he has been hiding books within their home. -
Montag calls Faber.
Montag calls Faber and asks how many copies of the Bible are left. -
Montag goes to see Faber.
Montag takes his copy of the Bible to Faber and begs him to teach him how to remember. Here Montag receieves the ear piece. -
Montag reads poetry to the women.
Montag decides that he is going to read poetry to the women that visit his house. -
Montag is forced to burn his own/murders Beatty.
After both the women and Mildred call in on Montag for hiding the books, the firemen report to Montags house, and he forced to burn down his own house, After burning his own house, Beatty upsets Montag, and Montag sets him on fire.
