She meets her new roommate, Reagan, and Reagan's ex-boyfriend, Levi, who's always hanging around. Cath is socially awkward and doesn't like interacting with people her age. -

Cath and her sister Wren were raised primarily by their father because their mom abandon them, now as Cath and Wren start to do well their mom wants to comeback. Not wanting to add on to any more stress Cath says she wants nothing to do with her. -

a couple of days after Cath finds out about her mom Wren is hospitalized for alcohol poisoning after a night out causing a little bit of turmoil in the family. -

Cath starts to get very stressed out in her fiction writing class her partner gives up on her after using her to get a higher grade in class right before exams leaving her to do things on her own. -

Just before finals, Caths dad has a bipolar psychological crisis and ends up being involuntarily committed into a mental facility for a short time -

Cath can't handle school anymore and wants to stay home and care for her dad while he's sick. -
Conclusion
after becoming depressed and emotionally distant from her friends and family, Cath has bettered herself and strives to correct any wrongs and try harder. This is where the book ends
