    The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The band members are Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts. When they first started, their music was more R&B and the Blues but they turned out to have rock and roll music. A critic said that they were "rooted in traditional verities, in rhythm-and-blues and soul music.More ephemeral pop fashions have come and gone". They became popular in the states during the British Invasion.

The band went hiatus after the New Jersey tour in 1990 when Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora released solo albums. In 1992 the band returned.
