Montag meets Clarisse
Montag meets his new neighbor, Clarisse McClellan, who sparks something within Montag. -
The Overdose
Montag's wife, MIldred (an unhappy static character), tries to commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. Strangers enter their home to pump her stomach and replace her blood. -
The Suicide
Montag goes to a call and a lady would rather die with her books than live without them and would not leave her home. In the mist of the chaos, Montag takes a book from the woman's home. Then the firemen burn the house with the woman inside it and Montag is devestated because he participated in a murder. -
Clarisse leaves
Montag is devestated when he is informed that his new friend, Clarisse, died becuse she was hit by a car. -
Montag's Visitor
Montag was physically sick after watching someone die and decided not to go to work. His boss, Captain Beatty, visited him and told him that there is a time in every fireman's career where they will question if what they are doing right. Beatty gives him a day to return the book he took from the burning gouse, and to return to work. -
Montag seeks help
Montag can no longer keep the ideas of a revolution to himself. He seeks guidance from his old friend, known as Professor Faber. Faber had one wanted to start a revolution of his own but he was to cowardly to do so. -
The Reading
Montag reads a pert of a book to some of Mildred's friends. One becomes emotionally unstable and the others become terrified and they storm out of the house. -
The Last Call
The firestation recieves a call and the firemen get ready to leave. Once they pull to the house, Montag realizes that they have been called to burn his own house. Beatty tells his to burn his own house and he does so. After-words, Beatty tries to arrest him and Montag panics. Montag then uses the flamethrower to burn and kill Captain Beatty. Montag runs. -
On the run
Montag runs from the Mechanical Hound they have set on him. Montag runs to the river to disguise his scent and he looses the hound. -
New friends
Montag sees the flicker of a fire in the distance. He goes to see what it is and it happens to be a group of "fugitative" that have "died" in media. They give Montag something to alter his DNA and his scent. They realize that they are all on the run because of books. They also realize that they may be the last memories of books. -
The Phoenix dies
From the woods, Montag watches the city his was just in, explode . His and his new friends are unharmed. The Phoenix (society) and now there is a chance for it to be reborn.
