    Guy returns home from work to find his wife Mildred unconcious in her bed and an empty bottle of sleeping pills. Guy calls the hospital and two men with a suitcase come and clean her stomach out and switch her blood with new blood.

    Old Woman Martyr
    Guy's job is a fireman. He burns down houses that have books in them. One day he got a call to an old woman's house. The woman refused to leave the house so they burned her with the house. Guy stole a few books from the house out of curiosity.
  • Guy Gets Sick

    Guy Gets Sick
    Guy is jarred by the woman's suicide and becomes ill. He takes off work. Captain Beatty comes to Guy's house and explains to him why they do what they do (burn books.) He tells Guy how society tries to make everyone happy by promoting political correctness. In the conversation Captain Beatty implies that he knows of Guy's collection of books.

    Guy had been talking with Clarrise almost every day at the street corner. One day she dissapeared. Mildred told Guy that she heard Clarrise got hit by a car and died.

    Guy Meets Faber
    Guy wants to learn more about books but he has trouble doing so. He meets an ex-professor named Faber who offers to help him with his daily activities. He gives Guy a green, bullet shaped ear piece so he can listen in on Guy's life.

    The police are unsuccessful in the first few hours of the chase, so they kill an innocent man and call him Guy Montag. The real Guy runs away to a farm and crashes in it for the night.
  • Card Game Gone Bad

    Card Game Gone Bad
    After returning to work guy sits down with his co-workers for a game of cards. The siren goes off and the men jump onto the trucks and speed off to the site. Little does Guy know they are headed for his own house. They pull up next to the house. Mildred runs out of the house and gets into a taxi. Beatty commands Guy to take a flamethrower and destroy his own house. Guy, being a loyal worker, follows the order and proceeds to burn down all of his possesions.
  • Murder!

    Murder!
    After Guy is done destroying all he has worked for he returns to Beatty. "Good work Guy" says the captain. "Now you are under arrest." Guy then does the unimaginable. He turns the flamethrower towards Beatty and burns him alive until he is reduced to a pile of ashes. After the brutal and merciless homicide Guy runs to Faber's house. A massive man hunt is launched by the police force. Faber gives Guy a suitcase full of clothes and some whiskey.
  • Hobo's with a Purpose

    Hobo's with a Purpose
    The next morning Guy stumbles upon a small group of homeless men. The "leader" Granger explains to Guy who they are. They are a group of people who memorize books for future generations. He decides to travel with the group, for he has memorized a few parts of the Bible.
