After Beatty hits Montag, his green bullet falls on the sidewalk. Beatty grabs it and puts it in his pocket. -

Montag kills Beatty and destroys the mechanical hound in defense of his own life. -
Montag retrieves books and runs
Montag gets the remaining hidden books from the garden and starts to run because he hears police and firemen sirens. -
Montag Panics
Montag does not know what he is doing until he realizes that he is headed towards Faber's house. He then hears the roar of cars and starts panicking and trying to avoid them. -
Montag escapes the Children
Montag realizes that the car held children, and he also knows that they could have easily killed him. Then he wonders if those children hurt Clarisse.
