The pince-nez
First developed inn France, the pince-nez was an affordable option for people who wore glasses every day. Pince-nez is French for "pinch nose". Although the pince-nez was uncomfortable to wear, political figures like President Teddy Roosevelt wore them a lot. -
Contacts invented
The first contact lens was invented by A.E. Fick. It was made of glass and it was not comfortable and very hard to pun on the eye. After the glass lens came the plastic one. -
