The Northwest Ordinance made the government for the northwest territory and it was the only helpful thing the Articles of Confederation did. The Northwest Ordinance also outlined the process of admitting a new state. -

The Great Compromise was a compromise made between the large and small states about representation. The compromise was that the large states had the house of representatives based on population and the small states had equal representation with 2 senates per state. -

The Election of 1800 was the election between Jefferson and Burr v. Adams. Burr and Jefferson defeated Adams but they tied with each other a couple of times. After the deliberation in the house Jefferson was elected. The election of 1800 was the first peaceful transition of power with no violence from the federalist party to the democratic republicans. -

Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the U.S. Jackson was all about democratic values to the white common men. He didn't pursue that many democratic values as he went against his own words and lied to his people. -

The Indian Removal Act was a law that was created by Jackson, that made the president be able to force the Natives to move west. The Natives wouldn't agree to this so they had to trick the Natives with a treaty to get them to move. -

The Trail of Tears was a period of forced relocation of Native Americans being moved to the west. This was a very horrible time period as many Natives died during the journey and many Natives suffered as a whole.
