Sadeed is a twelve year old boy and has a sister named Amira who lives with their parents. Abby is close to eleven years old an lives with her mom and dad. -
Exposition: Background
A village in Afghanistan gets a letter from a girl in America. The tribe wants to write back ,but be proper. So they let their best student Sadeed watch over his sister Amira who will write to her. after she is one writing the letter he will translate it to English and correct any issues. -

Exposition: Setting
Abby is in illinois and Saeed is in Afghanistan. Abby lives on a farm with her family. Sadeed lives in a village in Kabul,Afghanistan. -
Conflict
Abby is failing 6th grade and needs to do an extra credit project to pass. Also she has to get A's on every test for the rest of the year. -
Rising Action: Project
Abby chooses a pen-pal project an she is in Afghanistan. She has to send letters back and fourth. Then make copies of them and hang them up in the bulletin board. -
Rising Action: Sends First Letter
Abby writes her first letter and sends it to Afghanistan. -
Rising Action: Recieved Letter
Abby recieved a letter back from Afghanistan and learns that she is writing to a girl named Amira. In the letter there are three pictures of her family and Amira wrote that wthet were drawn by her brother Sadeed. -
Rising Action: Sends First Letter
After reading the letter from Afghanistan Abby writes back. She talks a little about her family ,but she states how shes loves to climb. In the envalope Abby includes pictures of the climbing wall in her school gym. -
Rising Action: Secret Letter
Abby gets another letter from Afghanistan ,but this time there are two. One from Amira and one from Sadeed. Amira's is a usual letter that tells Abby whats new. Saeed's is much more. His letter states that he has been writing the letters and Amira has been signing them. -
Climax: Dangerous Man
Sadeed has the letter Abby sent him after his secret letter. He takes a short cut home through the woods because he has not read it and does not want his sister to see him. While hes heading home a man stops him and threatens him for having a letter from America. The man rips his letter up. -
Falling Action: Important Decision
Saeed tells village leader Akh Bar Khan what happened. He says that he can not send any more letters to Abby in America. -
Falling Action: Shares Incounter
When Sadeed gets home he heads straight for his school. Sadeed tells his teacher Mahoomed what happened and Mahoomed commands him to share this with there village leader Akh Bar Khan. -
Falling Action: Last letter
Saeed sends his last letter to Abby. He explains how it is unsafe for his village if he keeps sending letters back and fourth. He wishings Abby good luck and says bye. -
Fallind Action: Understands Last Letter
Abby gets the letter and feels that it was a good closer She hopes that the problem in Afghanistan is fixed and they can communicate again. -
Resolution: Presentation
It is the last day of school. Abby presents her project and the class liked it. Abby had offically passed 6th grade. Now she can enjoy her summer without any school stress.
