Old Television Model (6 years old)
A television set or television receiver, more commonly called a television, TV, TV set, or telly, is a device that combines a tuner, display, and loudspeakers for the purpose of viewing television.
Back in 2006, we cannot afford a cable television yet that's why we adjust the antenna to be able to watch clearly. My favorite tv series was Korean dramas. -
Radio, Cassette, and CD Player (7 years old)
Radios with Cassette and CD players are popular for entertainment back then. It is the number-one way of people discovering new music and news. When I was still a child, I remember my parents play religious songs in the cassette player and their all-time favorite songs in the CD player. Until now, my mother still uses our radio every morning. -
Toy Radio (8 years old)
When I was in grade school, my favorite toy to bring with me every day is my mobile toy radio. iPod shuffle was popular back then but it was too pricy so my parents bought me a radio toy instead. The toy radio worked with button cell batteries. I only used it outside our house because it needed a strong signal to get rid of the radio static. -
Facebook (9 years old)
Facebook, Inc. is an American online social media and social networking service company based in Menlo Park, California. Its website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg.
My first Facebook account was made in 2009. My aunt made it for me while we were in a computer shop. I was not active back then because PC rent costs 25-30 pesos an hour. -
Kids Magazine (9 years old)
K-Zone is Australia’s number one and most trusted media brand, created especially for kids aged 6-12. K-Zone is a growing community of highly engaged fans across multiple channels. Me and my brother's favorite hobby back then was collecting K-Zone Magazines. This is where we get updated about the new international movies, music, and games. -
Desktop Computer (10 years old)
A desktop computer is a personal computer designed for regular use at a single location on or near a desk or table due to its size and power requirements.
Back in 2010, our first desktop computer runs with Windows XP. We do not have an internet connection yet so we use our PC for entertainment purposes only. My favorite games were Purble Place and those that were installed in CDs. -
Touchscreen Phone (11 years old)
My first touchscreen phone was Samsung Champ Duos that I used from 2011 until 2015. I enjoyed this phone a lot because I used it to communicate with my friends, listen to music, and make memories with everyone. I also used this device to get updated in my social media accounts. -
Interactive Games (11 years old)
Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley is a video game in the farm simulation series Harvest Moon for PlayStation Portable, developed by Marvelous Interactive Inc. and published in the U.S. by Natsume. Harvest Moon games are my favorite as well as The Sims because they bring back childhood memories. I also learned and developed some skills from these games. -
Twitter (12 years old)
Twitter is an American online news and social networking service on which users post and interact with messages known as "tweets".
My Twitter account was made in 2012. I got bored using it at first because I didn't have any mutuals yet but I kept on using it until I liked it better than Facebook. Using Twitter is one of the great ways to stay updated on the news locally or internationally. -
Smart Tablet (13 years old)
A tablet is a touch screen device that resembles a very large smartphone. Tablets can access the internet and act in many ways like a laptop.
My first tablet was Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and I had it for 5 years. I enjoyed it most because it is portable and I explored a lot in it. I learned to use a lot of social media applications that became popular like Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, YouTube, Soundcloud, Spotify, Pinterest, and other mobile applications as well. -
Teen Magazine (14 years old)
Candy Magazine is the ultimate hangout for the Pinay teens. The magazine features everything a Candy girl is passionate about: fashion, beauty, school, celebs, friends, and boys. I started reading Candy Magazines when I was finally a teenager. It was my favorite teen magazine because it features my favorite artists every month and it also comes with a free poster inside. -
Tumblr (15 years old)
Tumblr is a microblogging and social networking website founded by David Karp in 2007. The service allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog. This website is one of my favorites because it influenced my perspective in things such as my style, my likes and dislikes, and many more. -
YouTube (16 years old)
YouTube is a free video sharing website that makes it easy to watch online videos. You can even create and upload your own videos to share with others. Originally created in 2005, YouTube is now one of the most popular sites on the Web, with visitors watching around 6 billion hours of video every month.
I often use YouTube for entertainment. I always watch makeup vlogs, music videos, and short films through this media to the point that I no longer watch in our television anymore. -
E-reader (17 years old)
An e-reader also called an e-book reader or e-book device is a mobile electronic device that is designed primarily for the purpose of reading digital e-books.
My cousin had this gadget back then and she lent it to me for a while. This device is really useful because you can read your favorite books online. It is lightweight and you can adjust the brightness and fonts the way you want to. -
Netflix (18 years old)
Netflix is a streaming service that allows customers to watch a wide variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, documentaries, and more on thousands of internet-connected devices. With Netflix, you can enjoy unlimited viewing of our content without having to watch a single commercial. With Netflix I can watch international movies and TV series that are not available in the television. I can also be updated with the trends online. -
Smartphone (19 years old)
A smartphone is a cellular telephone with an integrated computer and other features not originally associated with telephones, such as an operating system, web browsing and the ability to run software applications. In our generation today, smartphones are one of the popular media that we all have. It is the most convenient for me because it can help me no matter which place I go.
