Exposure to Media

  • Television

    Television
    Television is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting moving images in monochrome (black and white), or in colour, and in two or three dimensions and sound. A television was my first exposure to media. I used to watch cartoons on a CRT TV.
  • Radio

    Radio
    Radio is the technology of using radio waves to carry information, such as sound, by systematically modulating properties of electromagnetic energy waves transmitted through space. I used to listen to tunes with my grandmother on the radio. When ever there is a typhoon we would listen to the radio broadcast for an update.
  • Books

    Books
    a written or printed work consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers. I read a lot of Alamat and encyclopedia books.
  • Cell Phone

    a portable telephone that can make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while the user is moving within a telephone service area. I used to play snake on a nokia 3210 cell phone. Its not actually mine, I just borrow it from my yaya
  • DVD Player

    is a device that plays DVD discs produced under both the DVD-Video and DVD-Audio. DVD players are connected to a television to watch the DVD content, which could be a movie, a recorded TV show, or other content. I used to watch Tom and Jerry from a DVD. I used to own a lot of DVDs, mainly cartoons and movies.

    A laptop, also called a notebook computer or simply a notebook, is a small, portable personal computer with a thin LCD or LED computer screen mounted on the inside of the upper lid of the "clamshell" and an alphanumeric keyboard on the inside of the lower lid. Laptops can be folded shut for transportation, and thus are suitable for mobile use. My father bought me small laptop for school use, but most of the time I only use for playing games.

    The iPod was released in late 2001. It is a line of portable media players and multi-purpose pocket computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc. I used to listen to music on my sister's ipod, although I had to snatch it from her because she won't let me use it.
  • PSP

    The PlayStation Portable is a handheld game console developed by the Sony Computer Entertainment. It primarily competed with the Nintendo DS, as part of the seventh generation of video games consoles. My father bought a PSP for my siblings and I to share. I had no idea how to use it back then so I just watched my older brother while he plays on it.
  • Ipad

    Ipad
    iPad is a line of tablet computers designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. An iPad can shoot video, take photos, play music, and perform Internet functions such as web-browsing and emailing. Other functions are games, reference, GPS navigation, social networking, etc. My father bought an Ipad originally for my mother but she rarely use it so we siblings just shared possession on it.

    Xbox is a video gaming brand created and owned by Microsoft of the United States. The brand also represents applications (games), streaming services, and an online service by the name of Xbox Live. I used to play on an arcade with an X-box with my friends. Every time after class we used to go to the arcade to play on it.
  • Personal Computer

    Personal Computer
    A personal computer (PC) is a multi-purpose computer whose size, capabilities, and price make it feasible for individual use.PCs are intended to be operated directly by an end user, rather than by a computer expert or technician. I got a PC unintentionally when my mother bought it after her laptop was broken and out for repair. After the laptop was repaired, she barely used the PC so I just claimed it and used it since then.
  • Smartphone

    Smartphones are a class of mobile phones and of multi-purpose mobile computing devices.It has a strong hardware capabilities and extensive mobile operating systems, which facilitate wider software, internet and multimedia functionality alongside core phone functions such as voice calls and text messaging. It wasn't until recently that I finally got my first smartphone. I don't actually use it for anything other than taking pictures of lessons and looking at PDFs of learner's modules.
