Henson and Peary got back to the other men and fell asleep and the men woke up to a cracking noise the lead had water rushing at them.

It was Barrletts turn to go back. But Barrlet understood that Peary needed Matt.

Peary started out on foot to see if there was any soft ice.

Matt and Peary could tell they had marched 100 miles in one day.
