    A protest was formed against tax on Whiskey.

    Washington declared a neutral confrontation with France and Britian.
  • Creation of Cotton Gin

    Creation of Cotton Gin
    Eli Whitney created the cotton gin and it increased the production of cotton drastically.

    Limited trade relations were established between Britian and the U.S.

    XYZ Affair
    The XYZ affair was a diplomatic mistake by the United States and French which resulted in a undeclared war.

    Dred Scott was a slave that escaped from slavery and resided in a slave free state. A vote of 7-2 was concluded because it was violating the Fifth Amendment and it was unconstitutional. The short termeffect was that Dred remained free and the long term effect is that it helped in someway abolish slavery.

    Abraham out of his power accused someone as a war criminal and took away some of his rights.

    An officer got in trouble when he didnt read the miranda rights to a victim. The victim won because their miranda rights were not said. The short termeffect is that the victom won. The long termeffect is that spthe supreme court said the police have to let the person that is being interrogsted his miranda rights or else what the person said is voided in court.

    Two students were spaccused of violating school rules because they were wearing armbands. According to the supreme court Tinker won because it was just pure symbolic speech. The short termeffect was that the students were able to keep protesting and the long term effects were that it strengthened the right od free speech at school.
