    The regency TR-1 was the first transistor radio available to consumers. It became available on October 18 1954. Its battery life was 20 hours. At the time, its cost was $49.95. The original four colors it came in was Black, Ivory, Mandarin Red and Cloud Gray.

    The Sony Walkman TPS-L2 was the most popular portable cassete player that ever came out. It became availble July 1, 1979. Its model name is TPS-L2.     The Sony Discman came out in 1984. It was the first ever-portable compact disk player. When designing it, the designers were told that the size of the Discman could not be more than 4 cd cases tall; they wanted the final product to be able to be carried comfortably.     MP Man F10 was the first portable mp3 player. Korea’s Saehan Information Systems manufactured the device. It came out in March of 1998 for $250.     The 5th Generation iPod Touch is the newest iPod that has been released. It came out September 21, 2012. This iPod is touch screen. It not only has music, but it has web access, and two cameras.
