The first car is invented
The first car (the benz patent auto car) with a compact high-speed single-cylinder four-stroke engine installed horizontally at the rear, the tubular steel frame, the differential and three wire-spoked wheels. The engine output was 0.75 hp (0.55 kW). The first comercially mass-produced car
Adding a better 4 cylinder engine and a detachable roof. Ford model T was the first mass-produced car made by ford. This car had an engine that was simple and efficient, with all four cylinders cast in a single block and the cylinder head detachable for easy access and repair. The engine generated 20 horsepower and propelled the car to modest top speeds of 40–45 miles per hour.
Although, it had a hand crank start, it was one of the most
affordable and poular cars in the early 1900s. -
coil spring suspension
Lousy suspension on rough roads caused many accidents in the mid 1930s. Coil spring suspension added to the front wheels ,and eventually to back wheels improved handleing and suspension in cars.This improved the driving experience and reduced the accident rates. -
The power steering
After the world war, the necesity of cars increased by great amount. But the cars weren'tt up to the technological level they should have been. First introduced by Allen Breed, air bags were to added to the cars in the late 1980s. Increase of car usage in the world increased the need of the safety aspects in an automobile. Converting electricity into fuel was a huge leap in automobile technology. First introduced in the 2000 by ford motors, hybrid cars have been helping people and helping the environment ever since. This technology is being added to cars day by day and will be the future cars. -
Present day cars
2015 cars are all about the specs. DOes it have a gps system, can t connect to my phone, does it have steady internet connection etc. 21st century cars are filled with features and reach amzing speed in a short amount of time.
