Massachusetts Bay Colony's General Court wants every town that has 50 families to have an elementary school and wants the towns that have 100 families to have a Latin school so the kids in those towns can learn how to read the Bible.

Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson creates a system which seperates kids that should get an education and those which he though should go straight to work. He called this system a two-track educational system.

Continental Congress
A law was passed which allowed the "Northwest Territory" to take a survey to decide what Ohio should do as a state. As a result of the survey, "townships" were created which allowed a school area in each town which needed a school.

The New York Public School Society started having one teacher teach a bunch of kids. The teacher would focus on teaching the students that were older and rely on them to teach the younger kids.
