Reel to reel home videos
I remember watching old home movies in my Grandpa's living room on his reel to reel projector. -
Party Line Phones
My grandparents lived in Benjamin and were sheep farmers. Not having a lot of money they had a "Party Line." It was horrible because one lady was ALWAYS on the phone and you couldn't call out unless she gave up the line. -
8 Track Music Player
I remember singing to Eddie Rabbit on my mom's old 8 Track player. If I remember right you could only fast forward. -
Record Player
My first record I owned was Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall." -
My first personal phone
When living at my parents house I had a phone jack just outside of my bedroom door. I ran a cord under a rug into my room and talked on the phone for hours. -
Apple IIe
When I was in 8th grade I was introduced to the first computer I had ever used in school, the Apple IIe. We had to load a floppy disc to boot it up. -
Cell Phone
I remember seeing rich people on television talking on these HUGE phones! Using a cell phone in the early days was REALLY EXPENSIVE! -
Sony Walkman
If you were anybody you had a Sony Walkman! The ease of carrying your music anywhere was now available! -
Go Phone
The first cellular phone I ever had was a "Go Phone." I prepaid for a monthly plan and then if I went over my minutes I had to pay a SMALL FORTUNE! I learned that the hard way. -
My first iPod
I got my first iPod in 2003. I used it in my dance classes and found it AMAZING since I didn't have to lug a whole bunch of CD's around. It was also super easy to find songs and create playlists to use in my class for that particular day.
